Splitrock Reservoir, NJ

It really couldn’t have been a much nicer day on Splitrock Reservoir! Six of us were treated to almost glasslike waters with perfect temperatures and a partly cloudy sky. The scenery was straight out of a postcard with ourselves and our boats reflecting in the water along with the beautiful green mountains. There were some large puffy clouds with defined edges next to wispy, thin clouds, all with a beautiful, crisp blue sky in the background.
As we pulled up to the island for lunch, we experienced the 10% chance of rain that was forecast, but it didn’t last long and the trees gave us good enough cover that we didn’t get wet.
Thanks to Dave, Kathy, Lindsey, Diane, and Sue for joining me on my first Splitrock paddle. It was a great day for sure!
