Cedar Creek

We had 7 boats on 5 cars for the Cedar Creek paddle, which made for an easy shuttle. Water was high and flowing well, so paddling was easy too (except for negotiating the tight turns and the slalom gates made by blow downs). Water lilies were in bloom in Ore Pond. "Shake and bake" was enough to get over a couple of beaver dams. We encountered a couple of families in rented boats with the usual lack of experience.
Thanks to Al for helping one canoe load recover from a capsize, and for helping us re-board below the dam. Also thanks to Janet for bringing us back to the put in after the shuttle, and new member Nat for getting Janet back to her car at the end. Five of us enjoyed a post paddle drink and snack or meal at the Shady Rest.
