Rockaway River, NJ

It was a heat wave yesterday (Hit fifty I believe).
The river was a little scratchy in the beginning (Just below the 1st waterfall where we put in), then we were fine.
Stopped at the normal lunch spot in Denville, ate and put some warmer clothes then continued.
We did get some interesting looks from people scurrying around Denville.
Rich walked across the street to get a milk shake, but ended up coming back with garlic knots and a sub sandwich.
We saw Deer, Squirrels, A gazillion ducks, One BALD EAGLE and Geese.
The 3 of us ended up using an emergency throw rope but not in the normal manner.
We pulled each other over the last 'Ice Carry' which was too thick to break through.
We ended up pulling (and I mean "Pulling") out onto someone's snow packed backyard about a mile before waterfall in Boonton.
People, including their family dog watched us work our way across a large section of ice and said they were close to calling 911 for help. They ended up driving us to get our cars.
All went well and no one died!
