Incorporated in 1985, the Hackensack River Canoe & Kayak Club encourages canoeing and kayaking with a positive social experience while fostering a spirit of respect and conservation toward our rivers and lakes.
Most of our trips take place in NJ, southern NY, western CT and eastern PA. Although longer trips take place farther afield.
Founded by a handful of paddlers to promote the conservation of the Hackensack River and Meadowlands through paddling, membership has grown to over 200 and activities stretch across several states.
Annual dues are $15 for individuals and $25 for families. Membership is open to all. Participants in club paddling trips need to bring their own canoe or kayak.
See the upcoming activities list for the dates of future meetings, which are usually held on Tuesdays at 7 PM. Meetings are currently taking place online via Zoom, or at the Central Unitarian Church (CUC) at 156 Forest Ave in Paramus, NJ. All are welcome.
