Oradell Reservoir Challenge

The Hackensack River Canoe & Kayak Club had a table at the Hackensack Riverkeeper's annual Oradell Reservoir Challenge where what used to be the Hackensack Water Company's (now Veolia) was one of three reservoirs normally closed to the public. Unfortunately this year's turnout was extremely light - more cops, EMTs, rescue squad, fire, etc. than participants.. Anyway, we did manage to hand out four - yes - 4 brochures... wow! The Club would like to thank Andy A., Gary H. and me for volunteering to staff at our table.

Next one is on the uppermost reservoir on the Hackensack - Lake DeForest just over the border in NY on June 27th . Anyone want to volunteer to staff our table?

We did get free sandwiches though... and again, no one died.
